my first ideal date would be, on horse back on a nice beach in a warm country but hey, you can't have it all.... so... a nice dinner with candlelight would be nice to. i like to be wowed. (sweep me of my feet haha ;))
I always think that dinner is a good way to get to know someone. Choose a place that is popular but not too loud. I think a booth in the corner is also better than a table in the middle of the restaurant.
I think it would be fun to go to a local restaurant or dinner, you know some place that has great food that you can't find in every city. Then after just enjoy a nice walk.

A wonderful meal at Wetherspoons Llandudno. Its an old theatre transformed to be a family restaurant/bar. Reason i like dining here and that it would make a great first date is that the food is often great and that the setting bof eing in an old theatre is unique. After the meal a nice and peaceful walk down along the pommenade on the sandy beach at night/dusk :)
